DCS 2012 Scholarships

The DeGroote Commerce Society is pleased to present the 2012 DCS Scholarships. This year there are four scholarships worth $500.00 each and are to be awarded to four outstanding DeGroote Students.
Description:
The DCS Student Scholarships are presented annually to DeGroote Students who best exemplify leadership and involvement both within the business school and the community. This can be anything including (but not limited to) participation in a DeGroote club, association, competition, a McMaster club, athletic team or volunteering in the community. The recipient should be an individual who is able to achieve balance between being involved and academics. The individual must be able to maintain good academic standing.
Application Requirements:
1. An application essay explaining why you best exemplify the traits of a qualified recipient (based on the characteristics above) and how you have made a positive contribution to these organizations. The essay is to be no longer than one page single spaced, 12pt font, Times New Roman.

3. Your most recent grade report from MUGSI
To apply, please email your application to Matthew Armellin, VP Academic atvpacademic@degrootecommerce.ca or drop off your application in the DCS office (DSB -131) in a sealed envelope no later than Friday January 20th 2012 at 4:30pm. Late applications will not be accepted.
Eligibility:
The Scholarships are available to all DCS members, which are any full-time undergraduate commerce student at the DeGroote School of Business, not including those currently enrolled in an internship placement with the Commerce Internship Program.
